This must be a shocking news for all those who are fan of number 1 file sharing website Rapidshare and has there premium account in it as today the site is giving a message This site has been blocked as per instructions from Department of Telecom (DOT) which don't need the explanation. It is clearly written that it is blocked by DOT. Filesonic & Mediafire.com are also blocked by DOT and it is news that now soon all file sharing website will be banned in India by TRAI and DOT. The cause of banning of Rapidshare, Filesonic & Mediafire.com and other website may be due to the large amount of illegal content present in these site for download like Movie, Porn stuff, Software, pirated music etc.

@ ajay sawant : you can use some proxy softwares which will hide your ip address and then you can easily access to any blocked website. for more information search on google for those softwares.
by the way i just visited www.rapidshare.com and i cn see that it is working fine.
